Does anyone know what level of rider you need to be to feel comfortable entering the NSW Road Champs at orange in late April? Do you need t be an A, B, C grader to not embaress yourself at these races?
I have a ticket for the 170km option at the Orange Challenge on 5 March. Alas, study commitments have intervened and I can't go.
The normal price is $185, but selling for $110 ono.

Am signing up for the Coota Haycarters weekend (roll around Saturday, win Sunday is the usual plan - which has never come off btw) and was curious if the Club is taking the trailer and bus for the weekend? Tx Peter B.
Trying to come up with a safe/simple way for my girlfriend to ride her road from Forest Lodge to Linfeild.
Pretty happy for the most part, but looking for ideas on how to tackle North Sydney to connect up with the start of the Epping Road cycle way. Come off the bridge and head up miller street? Or head more East down to ben Boyd? How do you do it?
I'm coming to Australia (first time) in late September and am bringing my touring bike. I'm interested in riding from Sydney to Brisbane. I have a few questions:
1. What about the prevailing winds at that time, would North to South be best or should I start in Brisbane and cycle back?

It’s time to load our rifles and take aim at the state government.
Now that I’ve had a chance to read through the proposed changes to cycle laws enforceable as of 1st March, I thought I’d take an opportunity to construct a response to it with my own thoughts of the matter. I do so for two reasons:

If anyone was on the roads and running a camera around General Liberator San Martin Drive early last Sunday, your footage may be helpful.
One rider suffered spinal injuries and his bike is written off.

See you there,
I notice Ay-Up sells both Blue and Red caps for the lights to be used as a rear light.
I was thinbking that one blue and one red would possibly get more clearance from cars, but wondered if it was illegal?

A popular event on the racing calendar,Mudgee has been cancelled this year. This is a shame as I know quite a few members were looking forward to this race weekend. Due to lack of support by way of volunteers another event is gone hopefully not forever.
A reminder that the CCCC Calga road races are on this Sunday (usually Saturdays). So for those frustrated at missing out on an entry in Ken Dinnerville handicap - take out your frustration at Calga this Sunday and try to get on the podium.
NSCC and CCCC have a tradition of supporting each other's races so get yourself up to Calga for a great day of racing.
Races start at 9am - be there 30 minutes early for registration. Further details on CCCC website http://www.centralcoastcyclingclub.com.au/
Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with Bonty RL (or RXL) road shoes and can comment on their comfort/durability/value and anywhere I might be able to snap up a bargain.
We are off to the Gold Coast for the second week of the holidays.
Does anyone know of any good rides up that way????
Posted earlier on the SCC Facebook group today.
Take out there and ride safe.
Hi all, Can anyone recommend a good cycling route between North Sydney and Parramatta that follows a combination of designated cycleways and relatively quiet or cycle friendly back streets. Any suggestions appreciated.
