The route is pretty much flat as a pancake.

Update: Sorry folk, but due to slacker newbie friends I can't make this 'til 8am now. Don't let this put you off an earlier start though. I had imagined we probably wouldn't all end up riding together anyhow as my newbies will be a bit sloooooow Sad

Who's in?

Rob Small Sprint Finish This wasn't supposed to be a serious ride, and just as well. I only really do the Spring Cycle to get Pratiwi out for a longer ride. Think this was faster than last year - maybe we'll not bother next year if I can finally persuade her 50Km off road...
jdb Great company, Great day and Great 96km Epic Ride Firstly I would like to thank Sophie and Neil for making the ride so much fun, was a pleasure to meet you both, look forward to seeing you on more rides. We all almost had a pile-up when a child on the Harbour Bridge decided to change lanes, just...

Were you there and have a story to tell?

Hello!

What bikes will you all be riding? MTBikes or roadies?

I've ridden this on both a road bike and hardtail MTB - this time will be roadie as part of Gong training. MTB was pretty good as well more relaxed and not too much slower.

I'll be riding the roadie

Is anyone keen to start around 7:30?

I plan to take the ride fairly easy, will be riding back to Freshwater after the ride

I'm good for a 7.30 start. My husband Nick will be riding too. We'll hang out at the bandstand thing at 7.30. I'm easy to spot - distintive black blue and silver Scott road bike with blue tyres

Look forward to meeting you both, I'll be on a red and black cervelo and will likely be wearing a backpack.

Hi Anke, how did you go with your cleats today?

No falling over today. Wohoo! Yesterday was a bit of a steep learning curve. For some reason I kept unclipping with my right foot and would then over balanced and fall over. Today I started unclipping with my left foot, leaving my right foot clipped in. Much better that way! I think that is how most people do it. It's like anything, the more you do it, the better you get at it. So you rode all the way home. Great job!
