Re: This ride meeting:
Sydney Spring Cycle - North Sydney

This wasn't supposed to be a serious ride, and just as well. I only really do the Spring Cycle to get Pratiwi out for a longer ride. Think this was faster than last year - maybe we'll not bother next year if I can finally persuade her 50Km off road events are easier and safer.

Yeah, you might have seen the high speed OTB results. Dunno what caused that, but Pratiwi suffered a few scratches when some kiddie slammed on the anchors in front of her for no reason. I didn't see this, but his mum was close by and she got boxed in and fell over apparently. You certainly have to keep your wits about in this 'pack' - that's for sure. Luckily I managed to avoid a couple of similar instances and gave the kiddies a very wide berth.

Anyhow - after cruising 40Km with newbies, upon arriving at Olympic park a few of us were let off the leash and had a sprint finish. I forgot to hit 'lap' on the Edge, but it's easy to see the difference and calculate the final 10Km took under 20 mins just by looking at the HR data. Check the profile out on MB, rather amusing (although I don't know what's with the altitude data here):
