Going for a frivolous road ride to Akuna Bay (2-3 laps) and perhaps onto West Head, testing out the new roadie tyres that just arrived today.

The more the merrier. Come along if you can pry yourselves away from work and daily responsibilities... Smiling

meet new people; suitable for newbies;
social ride / social pace; no xc elites or dh heros please;
mountain bikes, comfort bikes, hybrids, road bikes, unicycles, etc;
the most difficult bits are gutters and stairs; which, of course, can be detoured, ridden around or walked;
the only reason a mountain bike might be preferred is that i will bring a spare tube (or two) for a 26" wheel.

Two Options: (I'm in the 90kms)
1. 90km Going the Distance Course Map - St Peters to Wollongong

90km Start: Sydney Park, St Peters
Start Time: 5:55am - 8:30am
Finish: Stuart Park, Wollongong

2. 58km Short and Scenic- Engadine to Wollongong

58km Start: Cooper Street Reserve, Engadine
Start Time: 8:00am - 9:00am
Finish: Stuart Park, Wollongong

Its too difficult to arrange a meeting point, however if anyone can suggest one please advise?

Road Ride - Gallston Gorge and Berowra

A couple of girlfriends and I are riding on Sunday. Galston Gorge, Berowra Waters, Cowan and down to the bridge and back up with a pit stop at Pie in the Sky.

Leaving at 8.30am from the meeting spot.

I have thu off work am doing a little ride.
All happy to join in but you need to be able to ride 200km, ride up hills, average a decent speed and not pass out Eye-wink
Will be basically this

Can meet up at Dural if you prefer to start there.
Breakfast at Wisemans Ferry
Lunch at Mangrove Mountain
Afternoon tea at Pie in the Sky
Expect 7-8hrs ride time and approx 2hrs stopping throughout the day.
will be riding the loop in a clockwise direction.

Meet at Hornsby 8am (to give those not local time to travel at a reasonable hour) at the Church opposite the locksmith on the Pacific Highway at Hornsby.

Ride Galston, Berowra, Calga and back......some nutters may wish to add Bobbo on (i always say this but it never gets done)

Alll are welcome.

Mandatory stop at either Road Warrior or Pie in the Sky for food/drinks etc on way back.

Hi All, long time no see!
Will be doing a queens birthday ride with my road riding buddies.
its a social ride so will leave no-one behind (but no slow coaches either!)
Will be similar to this ride
Stop for breakfast at camden, lunch at campbelltown.
Fairly flatish ride but undulating the whole way, but still 2000m climbing and 200+km. Its a good day out on the bike to have a bit of fun.
road bikes preferred unless you can average (27-30) for 200km on your mountain bike, if you can then your a freak Eye-wink
